About Tea Leaf Reading Terminal Market

Tea Leaf Reading Terminal Market is a tea shop in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 1136 Arch St Unit 408, Philadelphia, PA 19107, which places it among the local businesses of Philadelphia that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–6 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Tea Leaf Reading Terminal Market at (215) 629-0988; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, readingterminalmarket.org.

Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 56 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Philadelphia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Very tasty milk tea! I purchased the Sakura Rose Milk tea and added brown sugar bolba. It was so refreshing and fragrant. I will definitely be adding this to my drink rotation

The drinks were delicious. There was a lot of ice though... I personally like my boba firmer so it was great for me. There isn't much of a wait time and the shop is cute.

We tried the brown sugar boba tea. Although it was expensive, we did think it was delicious. Yum.

I do not recommend Tea Leaf to anyone who wants their money's worth of tea. A cup of tea at this place consists of 1/4 of ice. For the price ($8 for a large cup with a single topping), you will be paying quite a bit for the ice packing up 1/4 of your cup. When I asked for the option of less / no ice, the woman managing the cash register said that they don't do that. When I said almost all tea places provide the customer the option of either having no / less ice, she said they don't offer that option regardless of the customer's preference. The other woman who seems to be in charge of preparing the drinks was making faces and being derisive during this exchange, as if their "mandatory ice" policy is God's word of the law of Pennsylvania. Customer etiquette and service are quite poor at this place. There are plenty of other places inside the Reading Terminal Market as well as in the immediate neighbourhood that sell all sorts of teas and drinks that respect customer's preferences in terms of how much ice they prefer in their drinks. It's best to avoid this problematic establishment, and patronize instead other stores that provide more choice to their customers in terms of customizing

I got the Earl Grey boba milk tea, but it was disappointing because the boba was extremely stiff and undercooked. I finished the tea but threw out the boba. For the price, I would choose another boba shop for better quality.
